When Larry Dawson of Webster City, Iowa came forward with his wife Kathy Monday to accept their $9.09 million dollar winning jackpot, he told lottery officials and the media that they started playing after reading a book that told them how to increase their chances to win.
Dawson and his wife started playing the Iowa Lottery earlier this year after purchasing the book. "Kathy found this book three months ago about how to win a lottery, so…what the heck? Let's try it just for fun," Dawson said. "We just started playing for fun and all of the sudden, we hit."
